Those of you who are longtime readers of Arrow in the Head, the horror section of our site, may already be familiar with John Fallon. If not, no worries, we've got you covered! With over a dozen years of film experience under his belt in reviewing films and acting, he's stepped up to direct the feature-film, THE SHELTER. The movie revolves around a widower and homeless man, Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré), who finds shelter one night when he falls upon a vast two story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls in and makes himself at home, but what at first seems like a lucky break turns out to be a cruel twist of fate when he realizes that the house won’t let him leave.
Fallon describes the movie as a "film that wanted to be made. The bulk of the process from script to screen was very pure.” Sounds a lot like the house itself in which our main protagonist finds himself in! It premiered to strong reviews at Frightfest in September, and has now made it's way to the Sitges Film Festival (35 kilometers south of Barcelona) where it will be screening tonight at 7:30. Co-financed by JoBlo, it's obviously a film we're all proud of here and will be keeping you updated on so that YOU can see it and give us your thoughts!
THE SHELTER screens tonight at the 48th Sitges Film Festival.
