For movie fans, the end of the year is typically the time when find ourselves overwhelmed by a legion of top-ten lists from all corners of the internet, some of which we may agree with and others which we may not, but they always make for a good topic of discussion. To that end, the American Film Institute have unveiled their annual top-ten lists of the best movies and TV shows of the past year. "Year after year, we are reminded of the power of artists to bring us together as one,” said Bob Gazzale, AFI president and CEO. “AFI Awards is proud to recognize the achievements of the storytelling teams who have enlightened and informed us, guided and inspired us, and ultimately invited us to empathize with others in a reminder of our common humanity.” Let's see which of our favourites made the cut.
