The Batman has given us another gritty interpretation of the Dark Knight, but in our hearts, we crave the wacky antics of Adam West. The late actor starred in the iconic 1960s series and the folks at Corridor have worked their digital magic to bring Adam West into the new Batman movie. It’s well worth a watch and you can check the Adam West Batman video below!
In addition to replacing Robert Pattinson with Adam West, The Batman video also includes Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, and Burt Ward as Robin. Toss in some of those awesome onomatopoeia graphics (Bap! Zok! Pow!), the classic Batmobile, and the Batusi dance, and you’ve got one happy Batman fan. The work Corridor has done is very impressive, with the ’60s Batmobile fitting in damn near seamlessly with the footage from the new film. Since the video was posted on Sunday it has gathered more than 600,000 views and was one of the top trending videos on YouTube this morning.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been five years since Adam West passed away, but he continues to enjoy a wonderful legacy thanks to his work as the Dark Knight, not to mention all of his other projects. The Batman is now streaming on HBO Max and has already proven to be a big hit for the streaming service. According to Samba TV, over 720,000 U.S. households watched The Batman on its first day on HBO Max. For comparison, Zack Snyder’s Justice League drew 389,000 households on its first day.
