Everyone stoked about the KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM? Good cause there’s more to come from that director. It appears that Blood-Disgusting’s got word on an a new horror anthology called CHILLERAMA heading our way within the next year. TRICK R’ TREAT wasn’t a bad set but it’s been a while since we had a good collection of horror shorts. It’s doubtful that anything will surpass the greatness that was CREEPSHOW however.
Adam Green (HATCHET, FROZEN), Joe Lynch (THE KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM, WRONG TURN 2), Adam Rifkin (DETROIT ROCK CITY) and Tim Sullivan (2001 MANIACS, DRIFTWOOD) are all set to strut their stuff in CHILLERAMA which will follow one main backbone: The plot surrounds an owner of the last drive in theater in the states to close the doors but not before having one final night to run four final films.
And what about these four short films? Adam Rifkin’s story will be called WADZILLA and is said to be “in the spirit of 50’s monster movies.” In the story some unlucky guy attempts to raise his sperm count but it’s not without massive consequences. The Chiodo Brothers (KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE) are said to be running the Special Effects team. Tim Sullivan will be directing his own short called CURSE OF THE WEREBEARS. The short will be like a “50’s surf movie”. Adam Green will feature THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANKENSTEIN. DIARY will be about a “40’s war film about Hitler creating the perfect killing machine to win the war.” Joel Moore (AVATAR, HATCHET) Kane Hodder (FRIDAY THE 13TH FRANCHISE, HATCHET) and Kristina Klebe (HALLOWEEN, BREADCRUMBS) are set to star. Finally Joe Lunch will offer his own take on zombie flicks that is “in the vein of 70’s/80’s undead flicks.” Lynch comments on his own untitled film by saying the best way to sum it up is “when there’s no more room in hell, the dead will f*ck the earth .”
Not a bad lineup eh? Hearing these names together is beginning to be something of a comfort now. Want even better news? Production on CHILLERAMA is just about complete and there should be more news on the newest development coming up soon. I’m pretty sure Lynch has his own set of projects to worry about until then though. With KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM finishing up and CHILLERAMA just about done, there’s no telling what Lynch will have up his sleeve next. What do you guys think about the anthology so far?
