Some actors have been accused of doing the unthinkable. You can now add Arnold Schwarzenegger to that list. Actress Miriam Margoyles, who filmed the 1999 action/horror film End of Days with the actor, says that Schwarzenegger deliberately farted in her face, and she’s still not too happy about it.
Margoyles was on the I’ve Got News For You Podcast, and the host asked her to reveal her least favorite co-star of all time. She was quick to name Schwarzenegger, claiming he “was actually quite rude” during the filming of End of Days, and that’s when she revealed the farting bombshell.
“[I] didn’t care for him; he’s a bit too full of himself. He farted in my face. Now, I fart, of course, I do – but I don’t fart in people’s faces. He did it deliberately, right in my face.”
In the film, Margoyles played Satan’s sister, and her character gets into a confrontation with Schwarzenegger, resulting in him killing her. The actress described the scene by saying, “I was playing Satan’s sister, and he was killing me, so he had me in a position where I couldn’t escape and lying on the floor. And he just farted. It wasn’t on film, it was in one of the pauses, but I haven’t forgiven him for it.” As of this writing, Schwarzenegger has not commented on Margoyles’ farting claims.
In End of Days, Schwarzenegger played an ex-cop who has to stop Satan (Gabriel Bryne) from procreating the Antichrist with a young woman, played by Robin Tunney. The film received mostly negative reviews, securing an 11% rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. It only did decent box office, grossing $211.9 million worldwide ($66.8 million of it on the domestic front) on a $100 million budget. Schwarzenegger was reportedly paid $25 million to star in the film, so I guess he felt he could fart when he wanted to while making this one.
