Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday: Scott Adkins on fighting Jackie Chan, Kane Kosugi, and his new action film

Fans of action, rejoice! The amazing martial arts star Scott Adkins has a new movie that was released this past week! Adkins has starred as Boyka in the sequels to the 2002 prison boxing movie, Undisputed, which had transitioned into an incredible series of martial arts films, and Adkins himself won awards from the Jackie Chan Action Awards for Best Fight and Best Actor for the most recent entry, Boyka: Undisputed. And if Jackie Chan feels he’s earned that award, you know it’s some amazing stuff! You can also see him in films like Ninja, Ninja II: Shadow of the Tear, Doctor Strange, The Brothers Grimsby, Zero Dark Thirty, The Expendables 2, he had a cameo in Netflix’s Day Shift, and he’ll be in the upcoming John Wick 4.

Adkins’ new film Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday was released in theaters and on digital last October 14 and the man himself has been gracious enough to sit down with me for a one-on-one chat about some of his career highlights, his new movie, and what’s on the horizon for action movies.

The official synopsis for Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday reads,

“The Accident Man, is back and this time he must best the top assassins in the world, to protect the ungrateful son of a mafia boss, save the life of his only friend and rekindle his relationship with his maniacal father figure.”

This movie co-stars Ray Stevenson, Perry Benson, Sarah Chang, George Fouracres, Flaminia Cinque, Adam Basil, Beau Fowler, Faisal Mohammed, Andy Long, and Peter Lee Thomas. The film was written by Stu Small, who had also written the first movie. And stepping in the director’s chair are the Kirby Brothers – George and Harry Kirby.

The 2018 original introduced “the Accident Man” Mike Fallon as a hitman who makes his targets look like they die in accidents and is part of a guild of other hitmen who have their own style and calling cards. It starred names like Michael Jai White, Ray Park of Star Wars, Amy Johnson, Ashley Greene, Ray Stevenson, and David Paymer.

Thank you again to Mr. Scott Adkins for taking the time to chat!
