Good news for fans of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as the show has been renewed for a second season. Although it got off to a rocky start, the show has built a steady following throughout its freshman season. With some solid twists and turns, as well as some guest appearances from a number of Marvel-based heroes and villains, the show has managed to find its footing as it closes in on its finale next week.
In addition, ABC has also ordered the long-rumored Agent Carter series, which will bring back star Hayley Atwell to the role of Peggy Carter, whom she portrayed in both CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and most recently in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.
Here's the show description from ABC:
It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers.
The network has also renewed Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, Once Upon a Time, Resurrection, Revenge, Scandal, and The Goldbergs.
