A trailer for Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone escapes the 5th dimension

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Jordan Peele is poised to unlock a door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. That door will lead us into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. Soon, those who subscribe to ABC All Access will be given over to… the Twilight Zone.

The upcoming reboot of Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone will premiere April 1st on the streaming service, and no, this is not some cruel April Fool’s joke. As the trailer plays on, fans of the legendary sci-fi series will undoubtedly take note of the stellar cast attached to the highly-anticipated project with Adam Scott, John Cho, Tracy Morgan, Kumail Nanjiani, Zabryna Guevara, Jacob Tremblay, Alison Tolman, and Steven Yeun all present and accounted for. Jordan Peele also arrives in the trailer, who replaces Serling as the show’s omniscient narrator.

In addition to the laundry list of stars set to venture forth into “the Zone,” the trailer also gives fans a taste of the terror to come with plenty of timey-wimey shenanigans, suspicious-looking secret agents, and enough frights to satiate even the most hardcore fans of Serling’s timeless contribution to pop culture.

Each week, Peele’s THE TWILIGHT ZONE will present new standalone stories, often pulling from the horror or sci-fi genres. Just like the original, Peele’s version will serve as a clever social commentary on our questionable society. And who better for the job, right? After all, Peele’s GET OUT was one of the most socially relevant films of recent times, and his upcoming US feature (starring Lupita Nyong'o, Anna Diop, Elisabeth Moss, and Winston Duke) looks to hold a broken mirror up to our faces yet again.

THE TWILIGHT ZONE will launch on CBS All Access with a two-episode premiere on April 1st, followed by a new episode each week beginning on April 11th.
