It's only been a few weeks since we shared the trigger warning-packed trailer for writer/director Sam Levinson's violent, tongue-in-cheek satire ASSASSINATION NATION, and now another trailer has arrived online – a red band preview that gives a look at some of the bloody acts of violence committed within the film.
Our own Chris Bumbray gave a 7/10 review to ASSASSINATION NATION, which tells the following story:
High school senior Lily and her group of friends live in a haze of texts, posts, selfies and chats just like the rest of the world. So, when an anonymous hacker starts posting details from the private lives of everyone in their small town, the result is absolute madness leaving Lily and her friends questioning whether they'll live through the night.
The film stars Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, Abra, Anika Noni Rose, Colman Domingo, Maude Apatow, Bill Skarsgård, Joel McHale, and Bella Thorne.
ASSASSINATION NATION had my attention with the first trailer, but this second trailer is much better, and has me looking forward to the film's September 21st theatrical release with even greater anticipation.
Give the new trailer a look and see if this is a movie you'd like to watch in a couple months:
