KFC Lifetime movie A Recipe for Seduction teases finger lickin’ Mario Lopez

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Over the years, we've seen more than a few people step into the role of KFC's Colonel Sanders for a series of commercials, such as Jason Alexander, Rob Lowe, Sean Astin, and more, and the latest will be Mario Lopez. The Saved by the Bell actor will be playing that purveyor of crispy chicken and the guardian of the secret 11 herbs and spices in a Lifetime Original mini-movie titled A Recipe for Seduction. Yep, you heard that right. "We always want our brand to show up in interesting and unexpected ways in popular culture," KFC said in a statement. "The KFC and Lifetime mini-movie event is a perfect way to bring fans a fun opportunity to enjoy the holidays with family, friends, and loved ones." Thankfully, you won't have to put up with an hour and a half of steamy chicken puns (unles that's your thing) as the mini-movie will only be 15 minutes long.

"As the holidays draw near, a young heiress contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother," reads the official description for A Recipe for Seduction. "When the handsome chef, Harland Sanders, arrives with his secret fried chicken recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravels the mother’s devious plans. Will our plucky heiress escape to her wintry happily ever after with Harland at her side, or will she cave to the demands of family and duty?" What a world.

A Recipe for Seduction will premiere on Lifetime at 12pm ET on December 13th.
