Game publisher Saber Interactive has announced that they’re teaming up with the studio iLLOGIKA, along with EP1TOME, to develop a single player, story-driven horror adventure game based on Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place film franchise. This officially licensed video game will be
set in the terrifying A Quiet Place universe and will deliver an original story and gameplay that captures the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous.
iLLOGIKA’s Hervé Sliwa had this to say about the project:
The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before. We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.”
Saber Interactive’s Todd Hollenshead added:
The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and iLLOGIKA is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property. We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.”
The collaborators expect to be able to give us more information on the A Quiet Place game later this year.
I can’t say the idea of a Quiet Place video game gets me as hyped as I am for Evil Dead: The Game, which is also coming our way (in February 2022) from Saber Interactive, but I’m interested in seeing how this is going to turn out. This isn’t the only Quiet Place project in development; a third film is set to be written and directed by Midnight Special‘s Jeff Nichols.
An official site has already been set up for the game, as have Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts.
