Writer/director John Krasinski's A QUIET PLACE PART II is one of the biggest genre releases of the year, so it's no surprise to see that distributor Paramount Pictures is stirring up some Super Bowl weekend hype for it. Embedded below we have a video that contains a pre-game TV spot for the film, along with a featurette in which Krasinski and the film's star Emily Blunt discuss the set-up for the sequel and the fact that it's going to be packed with tension. Krasinski also promises,
We answer all those questions that the audience was asking about Day 1 (of this apocalyptic alien invasion), especially, 'How did this all start?'"
A QUIET PLACE PART II has the following synopsis:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
Blunt and fellow returning A QUIET PLACE stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are joined in the cast by Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
Krasinski produced A QUIET PLACE PART II with Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, and Aaron Janus served as executive producers.
The film is set to reach theatres, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX on March 20th.
