Bruce Campbell is about to give Peacock's A.P. Bio comedy a little sugar, baby. It's been announced that The Evil Dead actor will guest star as John Griffin, father of Glenn Howerton’s Jack Griffin in the series. An absent father to Jack most of his life, he recently had a spiritual awakening with hopes to reconnect with his adult son.
Of course, Campbell is best known for playing Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead and for his role as Sam Axe in the Matt Nix-created crime series Burn Notice. In recent times, Campbell has also appeared in episodes of AMC's Lodge 49 and Fargo.
A.P. Bio revolves around Howerton's Jack Griffin, a former philosophy professor who takes a job teaching advanced placement biology and uses his students to get back at the people in his life who have wronged him. The series also stars Patton Oswalt, Mary Sohn, Lyric Lewis, Jean Villepique, and Paula Pell.
Campbell recently lent his voice to a new Evil Dead video game set to launch later this year. He's also set to star in Casey Tebo's horror-comedy Black Friday, which finds a group of toy store employees having to protect each other from a horde of parasite-infected shoppers. He's also producing the next film in the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead Rise. Be sure to look for Campbell when the fourth season of A.P. Bio comes to Peacock in December.
