BLAIR WITCH, the new follow-up to the iconic found footage flick from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett, has had such a mysterious marketing campaign that we didn't even know the film's real title until recently. The new image that has dropped for the film is reliably murky, showing two characters huddling together but not much more.
However, as little as we're getting from them, it's exciting that this is an actual film we're getting. I love BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and I'm amped to see where they go with it in 2016. Check out the image and the new German trailer below!
A group of college students venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of James’ sister who many believe is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. At first the group is hopeful, especially when a pair of locals offer to act as guides through the dark and winding woods, but as the endless night wears on, the group is visited by a menacing presence. Slowly, they begin to realize the legend is all too real and more sinister than they could have imagined.
BLAIR WITCH stars James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid, and Wes Robinson. The film opens September 16th.
