Suffering Sappho, we sure could use a hero like Wonder Woman right about now, eh? Can you punch a virus in the face? I'm sure Diana would find a way.
Warner Bros. has unveiled six new images from WONDER WOMAN 1984. While the photos were previously made available online via Entertainment Weekly, today's batch showcases the pics in high definition, and without a distracting watermark. The new stills feature Diana kicking ass and taking names, as well as a bird's-eye view of a vintage 1980s mall setting. Also included in the bunch are photos of Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor reunited (Chris Pine), with the final pic delivering a close up of Pedro Pascal's Maxwell Lord and Kristen Wiig's Dr. Barbara Minerva.
For the moment, WONDER WOMAN 1984 is still hoping to hit its target release of June 5, 2020. However, seeing as the world is more or less on fire — what with the COVID-19 pandemic making it almost impossible to find an open movie theater — it could be that the sequel to director Patty Jenkins' 2017 smash will get delayed in due time. There's also a chance that the movie will be released via Digital services, though Warners has yet to announce any plans for an early or day-and-date home entertainment launch. In truth, all we can do is hope for the best, as securing the health and safety of the human race is a top, global priority for the time being.
