A familiar voice returns in teaser for Matt Groening’s Disenchantment Part 2

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After The Simpsons and Futurama, Matt Groening teamed up with Netflix to develop Disenchantment, an animated fantasy series which follows the misadventures of hard-drinking Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her feisty elf companion Elfo (Nat Faxon), as well as personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). The first ten episodes of the first season debuted on Netflix last year, and at long last, the remaining ten episodes are less than a month away. Netflix has also released a new teaser for Disenchantment Part 2, with the promise of a full trailer arriving in a week. Check it out!

While the series doesn't approach the excellence of The Simpsons and Futurama in their prime, I have enjoyed what we've seen of Disenchantment so far, so I'll be there for Part 2. There's still more Disenchantment on the way as Netflix renewed the series for twenty additional episodes last year, which will roll out in 2020 and 2021.

The official synopsis for Disenchantment:

After tackling modern times with “The Simpsons” and the future with “Futurama,” producer Matt Groening steps into the past with “Disenchantment.” The animated fantasy series geared toward adults takes place in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland. It follows the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and personal demon Luci. The oddball trio encounters the likes of ogres, sprites, imps, trolls and human fools along the way.

Disenchantment Part 2 will return to Netflix on September 20, 2019.
