Fans of John Carpenter's sci-fi classic THEY LIVE know the power of Ray-Bans in spotting the alien menace lurking beneath our society. But, you won't need special glasses to see how cool this new deluxe box set from Sacred Bones Records and Shout! Factory/Scream Factory undoubtedly is.
The box set includes their new double-disc 4K UHD/Blu-ray edition of the film, plus a 7" featuring Carpenter's 2017 recording of the main theme to They Live b/w a new recording of "Wake Up," exclusive to this product. The movie and record are housed in a deluxe, foil-embossed box with new art by frequent Carpenter collaborator Chris Bilheimer.
Directed by John Carpenter, THEY LIVE tells the story of a drifter who discovers a pair of sunglasses that allow him to wake up to the fact that aliens have taken over the Earth. The cult classic stars former wrestling icon Roddy Piper, Keith David, and Meg Foster, among several others. Since its release, THEY LIVE has become an essential watch for conspiracy theorists and horror fans alike. Sadly, the world currently feels as if it's been taken over by aliens on its best of days, though I would argue that if visitors from another planet were to evaluate the human race, they'd quickly peace out and leave us to our own destructive devices.
If you're looking to own one of these sweet sets, you'd better act fast, because certain versions will only be available for a limited time:
