A couple of new posters for Will Ferrell’s Casa de mi Padre have been revealed

As a Latin male and someone who grew up with “telenovelas” playing in the background all throughout his childhood, one of the films I’m most anticipating is Will Ferrell’s CASA DE MI PADRE, him and his Garry Sanchez production banner’s attempt at mimicking those very Spanish-language soaps. Will it be semi-intelligent parody or just wacky “hey, doing formulaic comedy stuff in Spanish is funny” bullshit? Who knows?! Either way, the trailers (HERE and HERE) have been winning me over, which is good.

And now we have two new posters for the film, both depicting Ferrell as a masculine caballero. You like? Click ’em for BIG.

CASA DE MI PADRE opens March 16th.

Synopsis: Armando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his father’s ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armando’s younger brother Raul (Diego Luna), shows up with his new fiancé, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raul’s success as an international businessman means the ranch’s troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raul’s business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexico’s most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal).
