A brief history of Terminator rip-offs (video)

As part of the TERMINATOR: DARK FATE pre-show at all Alamo Drafthouse theaters, the powers that be behind the scenes will be sharing a super cool, in-depth look at the wide array of international Terminator rip-offs over the years.

 

While the video touches on quite a few rip-offs, they focus a bit more on films such as LADY TERMINATOR, TERMINATOR 2: SHOCKING DARK, and something called TERMINATOR 91, which is a shot-by-shot remake of James Cameron's original classic – created by teens and shot on video.

The MPAA has given DARK FATE an R-rating for violence throughout, language and brief nudity. TERMINATOR: DARK FATE will run 2 hours and 8 minutes and is heading for an opening weekend tally of $35 – 45 million. Will YOU be watching DARK FATE opening weekend? Let us know below!

The new film follows:

Sarah Connor as she joins forces with a female cyborg to protect a young girl from a powerful new Terminator.

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE is directed by Tim Miller (DEADPOOL) from a screenplay written by David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray based on a story conceived by James Cameron, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, David Goyer, and Justin Rhodes. Cameron and Ellison are the sequel's producers and Dana Goldberg serves as executive producer alongside Don Granger, Edward Cheng, Tim Miller, John J. Kelly, Bonnie Curtis, and Julie Lynn. The film will star Schwarzenegger and Hamilton, along with Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta.

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE is scheduled to be released on November 1, 2019
