A brand new international poster for director Kimberly Peirce’s take on the iconic Stephen King novel CARRIE has just arrived, courtesy the fine folks over at Empire, and we have it for you below.
This new poster follows a couple of new pics that came your way earlier this week, as well as a recent trailer that hit earlier this month. While my expectations for the film have been admittedly low, the more I see from CARRIE, the more I like. The film has a huge obstacle to overcome in the eyes of fans in the form of Brian de Palma’s classic 1976 adaptation of King’s tale, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Peirce and company can deliver something worthwhile.
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
CARRIE stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday. It is scheduled to hit theaters October 18 2013.
