The Real Ghostbusters writer wants revival series!

GHOSTBUSTERS animated series THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS writer J. Michael Straczynski (who wrote 21 episodes for the series and worked as a story editor during Seasons 1 & 2) took to Twitter recently to ask GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE director Jason Reitman about a potential revival.

He tweets:

Hey, Jason Reitman saw the video of you and Ivan at the Hasbro relaunch of Real Ghostbusters toys…wouldn't this be a great time to bring back TRGBs? New animation? Live-action? Puppets? Hand shadows? Semaphore? Hello? Is anyone there? Is this thing on?

Now I don't know about Jason Reitman, but I say wholeheartedly BRING THAT SH*T ON. And don't forget to bring that spooky-ass Boogeyman – aka ALL of my childhood nightmares – with you. What do YOU think? Let us know below!

THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS was produced by Columbia Pictures Television, DIC Enterprises, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications. It ran from September 13, 1986, to October 5, 1991. The series featured voice work by talents such as Lorenzo Music, Dave Coulier, Maurice LaMarche, Frank Welker, Buster Jones, Laura Summer, and Arsenio Hall. It also went by the title SLIMER! AND THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS.
