Man of Medan sequel Little Hope unveils new trailer and gameplay footage

Supermassive Games' UNTIL DAWN was a revelation. Containing an all-star cast – which included Academy Award-winner Rami Malek, Peter Stormare, and Hayden Panettiere – you as the player got to play through a pretty well-crafted slasher film, with a decent story and strong scares. There is also always that question in horror films where you think, "I could've made a better decision than that! These people are idiots!" and UNTIL DAWN – being a videogame – let you find out if you really are as smart and clever as you always thought you were.

After the success of UNTIL DAWN, Supermassive set up THE DARK PICTURES anthology series, which would be a series of short interactive experiences – like UNTIL DAWN – but with a different cast of characters and stories, even adding a multiplayer element to it. The first in the series was the successful MAN OF MEDAN, which starred Shawn Ashmore and was about "five individuals who get stuck on a ghost ship, and must face their greatest nightmares and make quick life-or-death decisions to survive."

Now, Supermassive have released the reveal trailer for their second installment in THE DARK PICTURES anthology, LITTLE HOPE, starring Will Poulter (MIDSOMMAR). Here's the official synopsis:

Abandoned and all alone, four college students and their teacher become stranded in an isolated town miles from anywhere after their bus crashes in bad weather. Trapped by a mysterious fog in the town of Little Hope, they search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the past haunt them from the shadows.

Looks great to me! Both UNTIL DAWN and MAN OF MEDAN were extremely fun and tense experiences, especially when MAN OF MEDAN added multiplayer options. And this one looks like it might even have the best story of all of them! Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

It is reportedly coming out this summer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but we'll keep you updated if that holds up.

So what do you guys think? Fans of these types of games? If so, which one is your favorite? Either way, sound off below!
