I loved JURASSIC PARK as a kid. It was fun, exciting, and just scary enough where I was thrilled, but wouldn't have to worry about having nightmares. It made me obsessed with dinosaurs overnight! Then, of course, came the sequels. And…oof. I vividly remember seeing the trailer for JURASSIC PARK: LOST WORLD and being so hyped to see the T-Rex tear ass in a major city…and then watched the movie to realize that it's only the last ten minutes of the movie, and is mainly the T-Rex eating a dog and a lame GODZILLA joke. The less said about 3 the better…
And while I was never keen on the JURASSIC WORLD series up 'til now (though FALLEN KINGDOM at least had some campy charm) because of its often over-reliance on nostalgia, the newest film in the series – JURASSIC PARK: DOMINION – at least seems to be taking the series in a completely new direction, especially if the end of FALLEN KINGDOM is any indication. SPOILERS!!! we may finally get to see a bunch of dinosaurs tear ass in major cities after all!
Anyway, director Colin Trevorrow (JURASSIC WORLD, THE BOOK OF HENRY) just tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo of the film, prompted by the "post a photo of you in your job" challenge meme:
To all professionals in the film, television, entertainment and arts world, join the challenge to post a photo of you in your job. Just a picture, no description. The goal is to flood social media with our profession. Copy this text and post a pic. pic.twitter.com/opWF9zOt9T

So it seems that we're finally going to be seeing dinosaurs in a completely new environment: snow, rather than a perpetual tropical climate (unless you count the mansion in FALLEN KINGDOM, which I don't because that was mainly indoors and in the rain, which are still things we've seen in the series before). Either way, it'll be nice to see the JURASSIC WORLD series finally divorce itself from the park and really embrace its "WORLD" moniker.
At the moment, JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION – which will bring back the original cast, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern to join WORLD series protagonists Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard – is still slated for June 11th, 2021, but obviously we'll keep you updated if that date sticks.
