Writer/director Leigh Whannell's THE INVISIBLE MAN is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 26th (you can pre-order a copy HERE) with a batch of special features that includes some deleted scenes – but if you want to see some deleted scenes a month before that release, two of them can be seen in the video embedded above.
The movie was fine without these scenes, both of which involve phone calls, but it's interesting to see what didn't make it into the theatrical cut.
A "modern tale of obsession", this take on the concept of THE INVISIBLE MAN follows
Cecilia Kass as she slowly begins to rebuild her life after the death of her abusive ex-boyfriend. But before long, she begins to question whether or not he is truly gone.
Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, and Harriet Dyer star.
Beyond the deleted scenes, other bonus features on the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD discs will include:
– MOSS MANIFESTED – Elisabeth Moss describes the physical and emotional challenges she faced while portraying Cecilia, a woman whose truth is constantly questioned by those around her.
– DIRECTOR'S JOURNEY WITH LEIGH WHANNELL – Director Leigh Whannell acts as tour guide through principal photography, from day 1 to day 40.
– THE PLAYERS – Filmmakers and cast provide an in-depth analysis of each character and how they interact with the unseen terror of THE INVISIBLE MAN.
– TIMELESS TERROR – A behind the scenes look at how writer/director Leigh Whannell re-imagined this iconic character through the lens of modern technology and socially relatable themes.
– FEATURE COMMENTARY WITH WRITER/DIRECTOR LEIGH WHANNELL
THE INVISIBLE MAN will also be available to own on Digital as of May 12th.
