David Bruckner and Radio Silence producing V/H/S franchise reboot

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director David Bruckner and the filmmaking collective Radio Silence were behind two of the most popular segments from the 2012 found footage anthology V/H/S; Bruckner's was Amateur Night, which received its own spin-off called SiREN, and Radio Silence (which recently made the very cool READY OR NOT) contributed a segment called 10/31/98. Now Bruckner and Radio Silence are returning to the V/H/S franchise to produce a fourth film that is being referred to as a reboot.

Written and developed by Bruckner, the new film is called V/H/S 94. While this will consist of segments directed by different filmmakers, V/H/S 94 is taking a different approach to the concept because it will be the first in the series

to be presented in a single, fluid narrative, with each section linked up.

V/H/S alumni Simon Barrett and Timo Tjahjanto will be taking the helm of segments, as will franchise newcomer Chloe Okuno. Other filmmakers are currently in talks to join in.

In addition to Bruckner and Radio Silence, V/H/S 94 is being produced by Brad Miska and Tom Owen of Bloody Disgusting, and Josh Goldbloom and Parinda Patel of Cinepocalypse Productions, in partnership with Studio71.

Previous V/H/S films (V/H/S/2 and V/H/S: VIRAL are the other two) had some great segments in them, and I'm interested in seeing how V/H/S 94 will turn out now that all of the segments are going to be linked to each other.
