Although director Jesse O'Brien's TWO HEADS CREEK centers on two characters who live in England, the horror comedy hasn't actually been screened there. TWO HEADS CREEK was released in Australia, where it was filmed, last year, and is available to watch on Amazon.com, but it won't be making its UK premiere until the end of August, when it will be one of the films screened during the virtual edition of FrightFest.
The virtual FrightFest will take place August 27th through 31st, and the twenty-five films shown will be geo-locked for viewers in the UK only.
Written by Jordan Waller, TWO HEADS CREEK has the following synopsis:
A timid butcher and his drama-queen twin sister adventure to Australia in search of their birth mother, but the seemingly tolerant townsfolk are hiding a dark, meaty secret.
Waller stars with Kathryn Wilder, Kerry Armstrong, Stephen Hunter, Gary Sweet, Don Bridges, Kevin Harrington, and Helen Dallimore.
The film is said to be along the lines of SHAUN OF THE DEAD, THE EVIL DEAD, and TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL. It was produced by Jayne Chard and Judd Tilyard. Vickie Gest and Brett Thornquest co-produced, with Steven Matusko serving as executive producer.
The trailer for TWO HEADS CREEK can be seen above. I haven't watched the movie yet, but it looks like fun.
