Yesterday, we reported that Laurence Fishburne unfortunately won't be in the new MATRIX sequel, but it seems at least production has begun once again on the epic sci-fi action film in the city of Berlin. In a video interview with AP News about his other long-awaited sequel BILL AND TED: FACE THE MUSIC, star Keanu Reeves discussed briefly about the "thoughtful, effective protocols in place" during the Berlin shoot to get the film done. Meanwhile, MATRIX 4 – directed by Lana Wachowski and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Keanu Reeves, and Carrie-Anne Moss – is currently scheduled to jack into theaters April 1st, 2022.
