Holy sh*t! The new trailer for the Turkish dystopian horror-thriller THE ANTENNA just dropped (which you can watch at the top of the article), and boy is it a doozy! Definitely has touches of Cronengerg, Gilliam, and even some Lynch in the vivid and nightmarish imagery. Furthermore, its themes of government overreach, surveillence, and more – all told through metaphoric body horror – is so much my jam!
Anyway, here's the official synopsis:
In a dystopian Turkey, the Government installs new networks throughout the country to monitor information. The installation goes wrong in a crumbling apartment complex and Mehmet, the building intendant, will have to confront the evil entity behind the inexplicable transmissions that threaten the residents.
Meanwhile, THE ANTENNA – directed by Orcun Behram and starring – will be released in virtual theaters October 2nd and VOD in US and Canada October 20th!
