Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2021 release has been pushed back three more months

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE, director Jason Reitman's sequel to his father Ivan's films GHOSTBUSTERS (watch it HERE) and GHOSTBUSTERS II (watch that one HERE), was originally supposed to reach theatres on July 10, 2020, but due to the pandemic it was pushed back to March 5, 2021. Now Sony has decided to extend the wait for the film by an extra three months, moving the release of AFTERLIFE to June 11, 2021.

The original GHOSTBUSTERS was released on June 8, 1984, and GHOSTBUSTERS II was released on June 16, 1989, so June seems like a good month for this one as well.

Written by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan, GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE stars Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon as a family that 

moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.

Also in the film are Paul Rudd, Bokeem Woodbine, Tracy Letts, Celeste O'Connor, Logan Kim, and Oliver Cooper, with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts reprising their roles from the original films.
