Strangers Things’ Maya Hawke to star in Netflix’s dark comedy Strangers

Deadline reports that STRANGER THINGS star Maya Hawke and RIVERDALE's Camila Mendes have both been cast as the co-leads in Netflix's upcoming dark comedy STRANGERS, which is being described as:

a subverted Hitchock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls. It follows Drew (Alpha, it girl) and Eleanor (beta, alt girl) who, after a clandestine meet-cute, team up to go after each other’s bullies.

Sounds fun to me! Seems like it's going to have a "MEAN GIRLS meets STRANGERS ON A TRAIN" sort of vibe, which could be interesting. Meanwhile, no official start or release date as of yet, but we'll keep you updated.
