A fighter is stalked by The Shadow (2020) Short Film, Ivan Jovic, MMA,

This week's SHORT HORROR FILM; this time screened via our JOBLO HORROR TRAILER channel is Goran Jovic's short but sweet and beautifully shot (with a potent message behind it to boot) THE SHADOW which acts as a showcase for Pro MMA fighter turned actor IVAN JOVIC. Crescent kick the embed above to give it a look! It's pretty badass.

And here’s what Ivan had to this say about what led him to acting, his short film and what is coming next!

I started fighting at a very young age. My granddad was a fighter, my dad was and so naturally I also started fighting when I was 10 years old. I always loved to be disciplined and in fighting, for me, it was the ultimate way to discipline myself. You know, setting goals and then going for it. At the time it was the training and then the fight. But I also had a big dream somewhere in the back of my mind. I never spoke about it but I knew it was there. I felt that my heart was in acting and making movies. As far as I can remember I played small parts for my family or at school. And when somebody liked it I got this great feeling of fulfilling this need inside my heart. After 16 years of fighting in karate, kickboxing and MMA. I didn't feel the joy anymore after a victory in the ring.

And the more I stopped enjoying fighting, the more that internal dream came forward. And then it came to a point where I had to make a choice: fighting or acting. I thought to myself: I have the fighter mentality, I believe in myself and this dream is there for a reason. You did your part in fighting. You became a pro which was your goal. Now go for it! You can do this and nobody can stop you! I was having contact with a manager who saw something in me, but for years nothing happened. Then I said no! I am going to decide my own destiny, I'm not going to depend on someone else. So I worked as a bouncer and personal trainer so that I had enough money to make my own short film. And here it is: the super-short "The Shadow" and the short "Phonecall" is also on its way. Now I just trust God that it will be seen by the right person, who will give me a shot. Somewhere, somehow I just know the day will come!
