Doctor Strange sequel will be “scary and mind-bending”, according to Disney

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So, I've fallen off the MCU bandwagon pretty hard post-Endgame, but I'm nonetheless still pretty excited for the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi himself – the original filmmaker beind the pre-MCU Spider-Man trilogy! And getting me more excited is Kevin Feige saying during a Disney investor meeting, that the film will be:

thrilling, scary and mind-bending…[and] really pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

So it's nice to hear that this will indeed be Marvel's first scary film (even if it's not outright horror, as it was initially pitched – though Raimi joining the project gives me hope they'll push the horror elements farther than expected, at least).

It's also been confirmed that the film will tie directly to Disney+'s WandaVision and Sony's third MCU-adjacent Spider-Man film, as well as introducing Marvel comic character America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez, on top of the rumored introduction of Mahershala Ali's Blade.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will (supposedly) hit theaters March 25, 2022.

So what do you guys think? Excited for more Doctor Strange? Either way, sound off below!
