So this is exciting! After Covid initially struck, it shut down and/or delayed many productions, including Guillermo del Toro's antcipated follow-up to Shape of Water, the period horror film Nightmare Alley. But, luckily, it seems that production has finally wrapped, according to Searchlight Pictures own official Twitter account. You can see del Toro himself confirm it in the tweet below:

Here's the official synopsis:

a study of the lowest depths of showbiz and its sleazy inhabitants – the dark, shadowy world of a second rate carnival filled with hustlers, scheming grifters, and Machiavellian femmes fatales.

Meanwhile, Nightmare Alley – starring Bradley Cooper, Toni Collette, Cate Blanchett, Willem Dafoe, David Strathairn and Rooney Mara – is expected to hit theaters December 2021!

So what do you guys think? Fans of del Toro? If so, looking forward to his latest? Either way, sound off below!
