Are you ready to feel old? Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Happy Gilmore, the sports/comedy that starred Adam Sandler as an unsuccessful hockey player who discovers his talent for golf. As a little tribute to the anniversary, Sandler posted a short video on Twitter which features him re-creating the Happy Gilmore swing as he returns to the links. "It's been 25 years since I've done this, let's see what happens," Sandler said in a video, adding, "Shooter MacGavin, this is for you."

While we don't see the end result of the drive, Adam Sandler said "I'm not lying to you, that is smashed. Smashed. That went pretty well. You're dead, Shooter." Hopefully the little ball found its way home. Ben Stiller, who played the sadistic orderly at the nursing home of Gilmore's mother, responded to the tweet, saying "That’s a beautiful swing Mr. Gilmore. Congrats on your anniversary, and being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her 'golden years'." The official Twitter account of the PGA Tour also chimed in, saying "Harness. Energy. Block. Bad. You inspired a generation, Happy."
Adam Sandler was last seen in Netflix's Hubie Halloween, which also happened to include Ben Stiller reprising his Happy Gilmore role.
