Samara Weaving will be heading to the Playboy Mansion as she's slated to play Holly Madison in a limited-series based upon Madison's best-selling memoir, Down the Rabbit Role: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. Sony Pictures Television is developing the project that doesn't yet have a network to call home, but it's expected to draw plenty of interest from premium cable and streaming services.

Per Sony, Down the Rabbit Hole will look "beyond the polished facade of the Playboy brand to depict the visceral, often deeply damaging stories of the women who entered following a dream and found themselves manipulated, controlled, and abused by the machine." Marieke Hardy (Laid) is slated to pen the series with Holly Madison onboard as an executive producer. Madison moved into the Playboy Mansion in 2001 and became one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends, even starring in reality series The Girls Next Door with Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson. After breaking up with Hefner and later departing the Playboy Mansion, Madison later described her feelings for Hefner as similar to Stockholm syndrome.

Samara Weaving recently starred in Bill & Ted Face the Music alongside Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, and Brigette Lundy-Paine, as well as Netflix's The Babysitter: Killer Queen. Weaving will also be starring in Snake Eyes as Scarlett opposite Henry Golding, a G.I. Joe spin-off that is slated to be released on October 22, 2021.
