The Street Gang: How We Got To Sesame Street trailer has been released and the documentary looks to explore the origins of what is arguably the most popular children's television show ever made.
The documentary, which inspired by Michael Davis' "New York Times" best-selling book of the name, chronicles the improbable origins and expansion of the groundbreaking show that not only changed children's television programming, but had real-world effects on equality, education, and representation worldwide. The doc features more than 20 interviews with original writers, cast, and crew and features never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage. This is truly an inside look into the making of the show and it's said to be done with humor and emotion.
Directed by Marilyn Agrelo and produced by Trevor Crafts and Ellen Scherer Crafts, Street Gang began its critically acclaimed journey during its premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival and now the general public will finally be able to see what this thing is all about when the documentary is released in theaters on April 23, 2021, and on video-on-demand platforms on May 7, 2021.
