Bob Marley: One Love trailer shows the legendary Reggae star bringing the love in the face of violence

With all the drama in the world, sometimes the best way to keep from succumbing to its evil is to let the music ground you. Bob Marley’s famous tunes let the world release its tension in a different way when faced with conflict. It lets you groove to the beat of the human heart. It comforted you like a warm blanket or a caring friend or family member. Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for Bob Marley: One Love, which tells the story of the musician who dared not to let tragedy take his message and his love for the people.

The musical biopic stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch, James Norton, Tosin Cole, Umi Myers, Anthony Welsh, Nia Ashi, Aston Barrett Jr., Anna-Sharé Blake, Gawaine “J-Summa” Campbell, Naomi Cowan, Alexx A-Game, Michael Gandolfini, Quan-Dajai Henriques, David Kerr, Hector Roots Lewis, Abijah “Naki Wailer” Livingston, Nadine Marshall, Sheldon Shepherd, Andrae Simpson and Stefan A.D Wade.

The official synopsis from Paramount reads,
“BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music. Produced in partnership with the Marley family and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir as the legendary musician and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita, BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE is in theatres February 14, 2024.”

Reinaldo Marcus Green directs. Green is coming off his acclaimed work on King Richard and the HBO series We Own This City. Terence Winter & Frank E. Flowers and Zach Baylin & Reinaldo Marcus Green wrote the screenplay from a story by Terence Winter & Frank E. Flowers. The executive producers include Brad Pitt, Richard Hewitt, Orly Marley and Matt Solodky. Robert Teitel, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley and Cedella Marley are the producers on board.
