Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 premiere window announced

HBO boss Casey Bloys announces the Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 premiere window amid rumors of the cringe comedy ending.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Season 12, Larry David, premiere, HBO

I’ve got some pretty, pretty, pretty good news for Curb Your Enthusiasm fans. Your favorite curmudgeon, Larry David, is returning for another season of pointed observations and outrageous social scandals! HBO boss Casey Bloys says Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 premieres in February 2024!

“I was thinking last night that ‘Curb,’ in 12 seasons over 20 years, or something like that, has aired all over the schedule, and it is a highlight wherever it ends up,” Bloys said on Thursday. With screeners confirmed to arrive in the coming weeks, critics are steeling themselves for more of Larry and the gang’s embarrassing antics and refined cringe comedy.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 premiere window arrives amid rumors the show could end after the new batch of episodes. Bloys says decisions have yet to be made about whether or not the show will continue beyond 2024.

“We generally leave that up to Larry, and I think he’s thinking about what he wants to do,” Bloys said. “He knows it’s kind of been an open invitation, so I think he’s going to decide whether he wants to continue or make this the final season. I would guess before it airs, he’ll decide.”

So, why do people think this could be the final season of the long-running comedy series? When production for Season 12 wrapped, multiple producers took to Twitter, saying they shot the “last scene of the last episode of the final season.” It’s worth noting David is quick to say every season is the show’s last. He puts everything he has into every season rather than leave jokes without punchlines or subjecting viewers to dangling cliffhangers. However, David’s contract with HBO ends in 2023, meaning he must strike a new deal with the network to continue.

J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, and Richard Lewis join David as primary cast members for Curb Your Enthusiasm, with a rotating roster of A-list guest stars popping in and out to give David grief.
