The Expend4bles trailer brings new blood to the action-packed sequel

The Expend4bles trailer introduces new blood to the team as they work to thwart a group of terrorists armed with nuclear weapons.

After unveiling a new title and poster for the fourth film in the action-packed Expendables franchise, The Expend4bles trailer is here to turn up the heat and blow your socks off with brutal combat, explosions, and new members of an elite team of badasses.

In The Expend4bles trailer, Jason Statham’s Lee Christmas reunites with Megan Fox’s character, who is as lethal and clever as any Expendable we’ve encountered throughout the series. After a quick tumble and some bedroom gymnastics, Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross informs Christmas it’s time to gear up and rejoin the team for another mission. During a debrief, the Expendables learn a group of terrorists has taken possession of nuclear missiles on a cargo ship off the coast. If the weapons detonate, the aftermath will trigger World War III.

After the Red Hot Chili Peppers track “Can’t Stop” kicks in, the trailer explodes with harrowing car chases, intense firefights, dynamic teamwork, and impressive acts of heroism from the team. Hold onto your hats, folks. This movie is going to be a wild ride!

A new generation of stars joins the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in The Expendables 4.

Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.

After wrapping his part in Expend4bles, Stallone announced that his fourth film in the action-packed franchise is his last. “It’s time to be movin’ on” from The Expendables. Stallone added that he’s “ready to pass the baton on to Jason [Statham] and his capable hands.” Should there be another franchise installment, Staham might be the new face of the series. As Stallone walked through the set, he spoke of the “heart, energy, and humour” he hopes to bring to all his projects.

“The greatest thing is being able to provide films and entertainment [where] maybe there’s a little message in there, because what I try to convey in my successful films is the human touch, the bond,” Stallone said while reflecting on his time as the Expendables leader, Barney Ross. “Not so much the action, the action is self-evident, but just relating to the audience in a way they can identify with whatever the mission is with the characters at hand.”

Although Sylvester Stallone says he’s finished with The Expendables, he teased that he’s “getting ready to accept the next challenge.” The Expend4bles will feature Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Andy Garcia. Scott Waugh directs from a screenplay by Spenser Cohen with revisions by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly.
