Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny tickets are now on sale on Fandango, featuring a new interview with Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge

The famous archeologist embarks on his last adventure, and tickets are now on sale at Fandango for the film opening on June 30.

After Spielberg and Ford came back after a long absence from the Indiana Jones world in 2008 with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the reception of that film plus Harrison’s age, it didn’t seem like there was much confidence for a follow-up of any kind. Set the dial to 2023, and the time has come for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny to be unveiled to audiences. Tickets for the adventurer’s curtain close are now on sale at Fandango.

The movie ticket service is celebrating the start of the sale with a new interview featuring the film’s stars. The site’s description reads, “Fandango’s Big Ticket interview series features in-depth conversations with the casts and creators of the year’s biggest movies. Fandango correspondent Nikki Novak got together with series star Harrison Ford and newcomer Phoebe Waller-Bridge to discuss where we pick up with Indiana Jones this time around, what it’s meant to Ford to play Indiana Jones for the past 40 years and the moment Waller-Bridge realized she was in an actual Indiana Jones movie.”

Harrison Ford discusses how emotional he’s been (joking that he’s not emotional) when he received a humbling amount of attention and praise at the world premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which took place recently at the Cannes Film Festival. As the movie has finally screened to an audience, people are now able to gauge the first reactions and early reviews well before the movie makes its way into theaters on June 30. Unfortunately, despite reports of a five-minute standing ovation the attendees gave the film, the reviews have been less than stellar, even compared to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The early reception of this entry has been incredibly divisive, as it currently sits as the lowest-rated film of the series on RottenTomatoes with a 52% rating from 31 reviews. As always, this does not signify the public perception, nor is it the final word on quality, but it’s a scathing impression from the get-go. It’s pretty underwhelming, considering the director James Mangold is a proven talent with well-received popular films like Walk the Line and Logan. While Mangold hasn’t specifically attempted to emulate a style like Spielberg’s before (since a movie like Indiana Jones has a certain aesthetic tone to it), it can be argued that the filmmaker is knowledgeable and reliable enough to put out a quality product. The consensus from the early reviews is that despite having its heart in the right place, the film ultimately comes up stale and doesn’t breathe any fresh air into the franchise as it sends Indy into the sunset.

Of course, what is most important is how the movie connects with audiences, and if you’re excited to bullwhip back into the fray with thundering Ben Burtt punches, head on over to Fandango to get tickets for the swan song to one of the most iconic characters in history.
