Loki star Owen Wilson thinks that season 2 of the MCU series will release by this September and sings the praises of Ke Huy Quan.

Loki, season 2 release, Owen Wilson

The first season of Loki helped introduce audiences to the Time Variance Authority, the Multiverse, and of course, Johnathan Majors as He Who Remains. These elements have become quite important to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving fans anxiously awaiting the second season of the series. It’s been nearly two years since Loki debuted, and star Owen Wilson has a thought on when the release of season 2 might happen.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his new movie, Paint, Owen Wilson teased the Loki season 2 release date. “I guess they have kind of a little shot of Tom Hiddleston and I and Jonathan Majors from Loki season two,” Wilson said. “And I think that’s coming out end of the summer or September.” Wilson promised that the second season will “get very wild.

Owen Wilson stars alongside Tom Hiddleston in Loki, playing TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius, but the second season will include a few fresh faces, include recent Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once). We don’t know exactly who Quan will be playing in Loki season 2, only that his character will be a TVA archivist. Wilson was thrilled to have Quan join the cast. “I know. It’s so exciting. That was incredible,” Wilson said. “Every time I saw him winning something, it was another speech that just kind of was a tearjerker that was so moving. And even when we were working on this last summer — I think his character that he plays in Loki season two — I think people will be excited, even though that was so great, obviously, the character that he won an Oscar, for I think people are going to love his character in this.

Owen Wilson will next be seen in Paint as Vermont’s #1 public TV painter, Carl Nargle. With his signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke, Carl Nargle is convinced he has it all… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves. In addition to Owen Wilson, Paint also stars Michaela Watkins, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ciara Renée, Lusia Strus, and Stephen Root. Paint will hit theaters on April 7th and will steam on AMC+ later in the year.
