Star Wars: Skeleton Crew reportedly experienced “gruelling” work conditions during production

Everyone knows working in Hollywood can be complicated. However, what happens when crew members say they’ve been mistreated and vow to leave the universe they helped create? According to Making Star Wars, multiple crew members of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew say conditions on the set were so harsh they’ll never work on another Star Wars project in the future. The crew members bringing this story to light remain nameless. Still, they claim Lucasfilm never addressed the exodus of crew members who said “grueling” conditions led them to resign. The loss of these individuals triggered a wave of remaining staff feeling “underappreciated, disposable, and disrespected.”

Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: Skeleton Crew in May 2022. Fans of the franchise set in a galaxy far, far away were thrilled to learn about another Star Wars project in the works and eagerly awaited more details. The hype train punched into overdrive when Jude Law joined the mysterious series. Finally, during the Star Wars Celebration panel, Jon Watts and screenwriter Christopher Ford revealed the series would focus on a group of kids who get lost in the Star Wars Universe. Dave Filloni, who is producing alongside Jon Favreau, says that while the series focuses on kids, it’s definitely not a kid’s show. Set during the same period as Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, there is potential for crossover between each series.

While his role remains unconfirmed, some suspect Law could play General Thrawn, who was a Chiss officer of the Chiss Ascendancy and Grand Admiral in the Imperial Navy during the age of the Galactic Empire. Identified by his blue skin, red eyes, and chiseled features, Thrawn is a threat to any who cross him. Thrawn is a master strategist known for obsessively studying his enemies before going on the attack. If he’s behind the lost children in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, whoever attempts to rescue them will be in for the fight of their lives.
