John Wick 4: Keanu Reeves wages war on The High Table in the new trailer

Last Updated on November 21, 2022

Tick tock, Mr. Wick. The time has run out, and the all new trailer for the much anticipated John Wick 4 from Lionsgate is live! Keanu Reeves returns in the titular role in the action franchise that, despite being released years apart, all takes place within a couple of weeks. Although it all started with a dog, Mr. Wick now finds himself on the brink of war with the very society that’s given him a life and purpose before settling down.

In the newest installment in the action franchise, Keanu returns along with former Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne. Ian McShane and Lance Reddick also co-star, making their respective reprisals. This entry looks to up the action ante by adding massive martial arts talents Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins (whom we’ve recently had the pleasure of interviewing). The film also adds Hiroyuki Sanada from this year’s Bullet Train, as well as Bill Skarsgård.

The movie will deal with the aftermath of the last film, John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, which sees a civil war with the underground assassin world. The massive scope of the last film will also continue in this installment as John will be traveling to Paris, Berlin, and Osaka, which will, no doubt, feature amazing action set pieces. Chad Stahelski returns once again to direct with the trusty stunt team from 87Eleven Entertainment.

It’s been a huge few days for John Wick fans as news of expanding the franchise was announced in succession. First, news of the prequel series, The Continental, announced its international distribution. Then, it was revealed that Lionsgate, the studio behind the movie, is shopping around for video game projects to release. And finally, it’s been revealed that not only will Ian McShane return as Winston, but Keanu is also set to make an appearance in the spin-off led by Ana De Armas titled, Ballerina.
