The Imperfects trailer: A banshee, chupacabra, and succubus join forces for a new supernatural series

What happens when a banshee, chupacabra, and a succubus walk into a bar? You’re about to find out when you watch Netflix’s The Imperfects trailer. Supernatural shenanigans are a constant on Netflix, but the streaming platform’s latest dabble with cryptozoology and folklore promises to go to surreal and unpredictable places. If you were disappointed by the cancelation of Netflix’s First Kill, this could be your new ticket for a wild ride.

After undergoing an experiment that gives them monstrous side effects, Abbi, Tilda, and Juan join forces to find the scientist responsible. While investigating their unfortunate circumstances, the trio discovers they’ve transformed into things unspeakable and unnatural. However, their new identities arguably come with perks that give them an advantage over their maker, and revenge is just a few outrageous mishaps away.

The Imperfects stars Iñaki Godoy as Juan Ruiz, Morgan Taylor Campbell as Tilda Webber, Rhianna Jagpal as Abbi Singh, Italia Ricci as Dr. Sydney Burke, Kyra Zagorsky as Isabel Finch, and Rhys Nicholson as Dr. Alex Sarkov.

Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen created The Imperfects for Netflix, which gave the concept a straight-to-series order for ten episodes. The Imperfects trailer teases a “coming of rage” story with plenty of twists and turns, hideous creatures, hormones dialed up to eleven, and cryptid-related conundrums that will likely lead to a body or two being left for the bugs to claim. Supernatural series with a YA bent don’t always make it past a first season on Netflix, so if The Imperfects looks like your deal, make sure you support it by singing its praises on social media. It’s not every day that a banshee, a chupacabra, and a succubus get to star in their own show, and I’d like to see those wicked scientists get what’s coming their way.
