Quack! Quack! Quack! In the spirit of movies like Heavyweights and Camp Nowhere, the Mighty Ducks are heading to Summer Camp for some off-season shenanigans. Today, Disney+ released a Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 trailer that finds the underdog team thrown into a larger pond where predators are waiting to clip their wings.
“After winning back the Mighty Ducks team name last year, our squad-with-heart and their coach Alex Morrow (Lauren Graham) take to the road to attend an intense summer hockey institute in California run by charming yet hardcore former NHL player, Colin Cole (Josh Duhamel),” reads the official synopsis. “It’s a place for kids to get excellent at hockey — without school to get in the way. As our Ducks try to survive in this super-competitive environment, they’re faced with the question: Can you win summer?”
In the Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2, we find the Ducks arriving at camp and already in way over their heads. They might be the favorites back home, but in this new arena, they’re surrounded by players who train harder and are ready to eat them alive. While the Ducks like to think hockey is all about fun, they’ll soon discover that they’ll need to hustle if they hope to compete against mightier teams.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 stars Lauren Graham and Josh Duhamel with returning cast members Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Taegen Burns, and DJ Watts. Naveen Paddock joins the cast as a series regular.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 28, with new episodes hitting the ice weekly. Do you think the Mighty Ducks have what it takes to compete with other teams who’ve been in the game longer than they have? Will heart, signature moves, and a love of the game be enough to earn the respect of their peers? We’ll find out when The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers returns to Disney+ in September!
