HBO renews Curb Your Enthusiasm for season 12… prettay good!

HBO has announced that Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm will return for season 12. Cue that delightful theme song!

After a three-year hiatus following season 9, Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on a roll at HBO, with seasons 10 and 11 coming in consecutive years. That’s prettaaay, prettay good for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which hadn’t had back-to-back seasons like that since 2004-2005. Larry David first confirmed season 12 back in April.

Amy Gravitt, executive VP of HBO programming, made the following statement: “Larry outdoes himself season after season and always manages to come back when the audience needs him most. We’re thrilled for him, Jeff Schaffer, and our phenomenal cast to continue making us laugh and cringe in equal measure.”

Larry David was also enthused about Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12…well, as enthused as he can be. “Playing the role of Larry David has been the greatest honor of my life. In researching this multi-faceted, multi-talented man, I discovered that there’s more to him than I ever could have imagined: He speaks six languages, brines his own pickles, and spearheads a national movement to install a bidet in every home. I’ve also been told from numerous sources that he is the most generous of lovers. I am so excited to once again transform into this force of nature. I only pray that I can do him justice.”

Over the course of its 110-episode run, Curb Your Enthusiasm has garnered 51 Emmy nominations with just two wins. It is nominated for just one: Outstanding Comedy Series, which will be determined next month.

Details are nil so far, but fans can expect a standard 10 episode run for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12, in addition to Larry David being annoyed by just about everybody in existence. That, of course, includes his arch nemesis Susie.
