The Arrow in the Head Show tackles the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street

The Arrow in the Head Show hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek have been making their way through the latter entries in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise with their most recent episodes. They previously covered Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare – and now they’ve taken a step that some might not have expected them to take. In the new episode of The Arrow in the Head Show, Lance and The Arrow (along with special guest host Jessica Dwyer) are talking about the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street (watch it HERE)!

Directed by Samuel Bayer from a screenplay by Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer, the 2010 version of A Nightmare on Elm Street was not well received, to put it lightly. Produced by Platinum Dunes, the company that had previously brought us remakes and/or reboots of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hitcher, The Amityville Horror, and Friday the 13th, the film has the following synopsis:

Teenagers Nancy, Quentin, Kris, Jesse and Dean are all neighborhood friends who begin having the same dream of a horribly disfigured man who wears a tattered sweater and a glove made of knives. The man, Freddy Krueger, terrorizes them in their dreams, and the only escape is to wake up. But when one of their number dies violently, the friends realize that what happens in the dream world is real, and the only way to stay alive is to stay awake.

This take on A Nightmare on Elm Street stars Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, and Connie Britton, with Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger.

Here’s some information on The Arrow in the Head Show:

We’re trying something a bit new here on Arrow In The Head. After many years behind the scenes, we’ve decided to take our sarcastic, booze-influenced style into the video age with The Arrow In The Head Show! Hosted by John Fallon aka The Arrow and Lance Vlcek, we will dig into not only the newest horror flicks hitting the big and small screens but also delve into the good, bad, and ugly of horror from the golden ages of the ’80s through the underrated 90s and maybe a bit beyond.

Something groovy and a tad rough around the edges, we are here to talk shop with a drink in hand, a bit of foul language, and a whole lot of heart.

This episode of the show was Edited by Lance, and it was Written by The Arrow and Lance.
