Black Bird Interview: Taron Egerton discusses his new AppleTV+ series

Taron Egerton has been quickly building one hell of a career, and I got a chance to talk with him about it during a new interview for the series Black Bird. From starring in action movies like Kingsman and Robin Hood, dramas like Eddie the Eagle, family flicks like Sing and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and his critically acclaimed performance as Elton John in Rocketman, Egerton has done it all in a short amount of time. His latest role may be one of his best and most challenging roles to date as Jimmy Keene in the AppleTV+ limited series Black Bird. Black Bird tells the story of a man sentenced to ten years in prison who is offered the chance at freedom if he is able to elicit a confession from serial killer Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser). It is a dark and disturbing thriller that combines elements of police procedurals and more for a unique tale (read our review).

I recently got the chance to interview Taron Egerton as he reflected on moving from Rocketman to Black Bird and the challenge of filming in the summer in New Orleans. He also talked about working with great actors like Paul Walter Hauser as well as the late Ray Liotta who gives one of the best performances of his career in this series.
