Ms. Marvel Interview: Directors Adil & Bilall discuss their new superhero series

Ms. Marvel is the latest MCU entry in the massive Phase Four from Marvel Studios, and now we have an interview with two of the directors for you. Spanning the big screen and Disney+, the latest chapter of the live-action canon is an adaptation of fan-favorite character Kamala Khan. Played by newcomer Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel is a unique project that features the first South Asian Marvel superhero, the first Muslim MCU hero, and a lot more. Serving as a segue from the small screen to next year’s The Marvels starring Brie Larson, Ms. Marvel is a change of pace for the MCU that is much more family-friendly and character-driven than their previous efforts.

Bad Boys for Life directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi may not be the first filmmakers you think of when building a family-friendly project. Still, the filmmaking duo was very excited to join such a personal project with Marvel Studios. I had the chance to chat with Adil & Bilall about their inspirations for the series, moving from the big screen to television, and working both with Kevin Feige as well as with the talented Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel. Check out our full conversation in the embed above.

Ms. Marvel premieres on June 8th on Disney+, and hope you enjoyed our interview with the directors.
