9 Bullets: Exclusive clip previews a suspenseful moment from Lena Headey thriller

Screen Media will be giving 9 Bullets, a new thriller from writer/director Gigi Gaston (Rip It Off), a theatrical and VOD release this Friday, April 22nd. In anticipation of the release, we’re proud to share an EXCLUSIVE look at a suspenseful moment from the film. Check it out in the embed above!

Starring Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Sam Worthington (Avatar), Dean Scott Vasquez (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), Cam Gigandet (The Magnificent Seven), Martin Sensmeier (Westworld), and Barbara Hershey (Black Swan), 9 Bullets has the following synopsis:

A former burlesque dancer turned author (Lena Headey) discovers a second chance at life and redemption when she risks everything to rescue her young neighbor after he witnesses his parents murder. Now on the run from the local crime boss (Sam Worthington), who happens to be her longtime ex, she makes a desperate attempt to get the boy to safety.

This project was once known as Gypsy Moon, which also happens to be the name of Headey’s character. She was inspired by Gypsy Rose Lee, who Gaston knew when she was growing up. Gaston has said, “Take a bit of Paper Moon, a dash of Bonnie and Clyde with a kid, sprinkle a touch of A Perfect World, with a hint of Gloria, and you will find 9 Bullets.” Sounds interesting to me!

Gaston produced 9 Bullets with Wendy Benge, Howard C. Deshong, Cassian Elwes, Michael D. Jones, Veronica Radaelli, and Tommy Thompson. Jijo Reed and Drew Ann Rosenberg were co-producers, with Robert Ogden Barnum, Tamara Birkemoe, Scott Carlson, Mark Damon, Luke Daniels, Bonnie Greenberg, Jere Hausfater, and Alan Pao serving as executive producers. Adam Edelman and Eric R Elie are co-executive producers.
